About Us

Tots Early Learning Society, which has been established in the community of Enfield since the early 1980s, has evolved from a small centre operated out of a home to a leading licensed childcare provider in both Enfield and Lantz.

Tots Early Learning Society transitioned from being a privately operated centre to a not-for-profit Society in 1999 with a mission of providing the best quality care and learning environment for the children of East Hants. Not-for-profit organizations are run by a Board of community volunteers. Our organization does not earn any profits. All revenue that comes into the centre is reinvested into the organization to support our mission and cover operating expenses.

Tots Early Learning Society is a licensed facility and is inspected semi-annually by the Province of Nova Scotia. We follow the regulations set out in Nova Scotia's Early Learning and Child Care Act & Regulations which are monitored by the Education & Early Childhood Development - Early Years Branch.

Community Engagement
It takes a community to raise a child – and to support a non-profit childcare centre. We believe firmly in giving back to the community and engaging with the community as a whole. We are committed to contributing to East Hants through our community engagement and support.
